Holmston Primary School, Ayr
Holmston Web Pages, Acceptable Use policy -
Computer software, hardware, and access to Internet services
for publication of Holmston Web Pages in connection with the work of
the Holmston 2000/175 Committee, is provided on the following conditions -
The 2000/175 Committee can accept no liability for any damage, injury or
distress arising from the use of these facilities, however caused.
Contributors of material for publication, confirm that they are the
owners of the copyright of the material, and that it is their own
work. If the contributor is aged under 18, this is also confirmed
by a parent or guardian.
Access to computers and to the Internet is provided through voluntary
donations and there is no control over the information which can be
accessed.
The voluntary donations of computer and Internet facilities are
intended to promote the educational curriculum already supplied to pupils
at the school. Any use of the facilities which does not support
this aim, eg the use of facilities for personal gain or non-educational
use, is unacceptable and will result in the withdrawal of access.
This does not limit the right of the Holmston 2000/175 Committee or
others to impose additional penalties or seek additional remedies
for unacceptable use.
Since there is no control over the information which can be accessed,
adults will not allow children, pupils or others under the age of 18,
to use the facilities without direct supervision at all times.
Infringement of these conditions should be brought to the attention of
any member of the Holmston 2000/175 Committee as soon as possible.
Access to the facilities may be withdrawn by any member of the
Committee. If withdrawn, further access will not be permitted
until the circumstances have been reviewed at a meeting of the
2000/175 Committee.
