Saint Andrew's Night Reunion

Former Pupils' Reunion

One of our planned activities, from the beginning of the Anniversary Committee, has been a social gathering for Former Pupils of the school.

Mr Queen's letter to the "Scots Magazine" in October last year, and other items since, have asked Former Pupils to get in touch. Sandy Murdoch and other Former Pupils have set up a sub-committee to organise a Reunion in the school.

Sandy's people are working hard to hold an Open Evening on Saturday 25th November, as a Saint Andrew's Night gathering. Sandy's issued an invitation to Former Pupils through our mailing list and through the local press.

There'll be the chance to visit the re-designed school building, to relive a few memories and to see round today's classrooms.

Later on, though numbers are limited, there'll be a buffet meal, and the opportunity to spend more time with former classmates, and the classmates of any of your brothers or sisters who went to Holmston.

We hope there'll also be an exhibition of school history including items sent in by Former Pupils. Holmston Coat of Arms, Latin motto 'Altiora Sequamur' roughly translates as 'Aim for the Highest'

If you would like to contact Sandy, please send e-mail to him as below, giving your name, dates you attended Holmston, your postal address and a telephone contact number.

Please say whether you'd be able to come to the evening meal, if places are still available - cost no more than £10, depending on numbers, or whether you'd prefer to visit earlier just to see round the building, and talk to friends.

If you'd like to help Sandy's group in the work of organising the event, please let him know as soon as possible.
