November 2000 Update

The Holmston Millennium Jig

The Holmston Jig is another development for Anniversary year, which we hope to leave for the school to use in future years. Mrs Monro, a Former Pupil, has now taught the dance to P6 and P5, and has enlisted a colleague, Mrs Allison, to help with rehearsals.

We hope to perform it at the Saint Andrew's Night dinner, on Saturday 25th November, and at other suitable events.

Mrs Monro is a retired Education Adviser, and a long-established teacher of Scottish Country Dancing. She worked with pupils to develop the dance, and the accompanying music.
