May 2001 Update

The Editors

The Holmston 175th Anniversary web pages were edited by two parents - Alan Scott (production editor) and Tommy Fitzsimmons (content editor and organiser of the after-school Web Club), working for the 2000/175 Committee of parents, staff and former pupils chaired by Ian Queen.

Alan's continuing to edit the less frequent issues after the end of the Anniversary year.

Photos - left - Alan Scott is a computer analyst / programmer, formerly a college lecturer in Computing and Multimedia, now working in Prestwick. He's lived in Ayrshire on and off for over 20 years, and may have been one of the first people to use the Internet for business in Ayrshire, back in the 1980s.

Right - Tommy Fitzsimmons is a retired manager from a retail electronics company, and is also Chairperson of Holmston Primary School Board. Tommy's supported the school in a number of other roles, including organising the Swimming Team for annual Galas, and supervising the after-school Web Club of pupil volunteers for two terms in 1999-2000.
