P6 Get Into The Groove

The Holmston Millennium Jig

The Holmston Jig was another development for Anniversary year, which we've left for the school to use in future years. Mrs Monro, a Former Pupil, taught the dance to P6 and P5, and enlisted a colleague, Mrs Allison, to help with rehearsals.

With Mrs Kennedy and the school's Music Club, Mrs Monro organised the performance at the Saint Andrew's Night dinner, on Saturday 25th November - see photo 1 and photo 2.

It's a lively tune, we need a Midi Keyboard...

Mrs Monro is a retired Education Adviser, and a long-established teacher of Scottish Country Dancing. She worked with pupils to develop the dance, and the accompanying music.
