The Dolphin House

The Dolphin House is for children of all ages; it lies along the beach only 300 metres from a Castle.

Dolphin House

The Dolphin House consists of 3 main buildings:
Dolphin House itself was the old castle laundry;
a brand new Canadian Cedar bunkhouse (below);
and the old bath house used as the store for clothing.

 Bunkhouse

In the bunkhouse there are 7 bunkrooms for children and 3 staff bedrooms. A housekeeper, cleaner and a part-time administrator look after these.

Dolphin House has its own transport in the form of minibuses, as some of the activities are outside the Castle’s grounds.

The three instructors try to make sure that the children experience activities that highlight friendship, cooperation and forming worthwhile relationships, as well as learning about environmental subjects.

Children are provided with the equipment for outdoor activities, things like cagoules, walking boots and wellies.
