LIFE Interactive World, Newcastle
As well as the visit to Holy Island, we took a trip on a partly-wet day, to LIFE Interactive World in Newcastle. It's another Millennium exhibition like Dynamic Earth and The Big Idea, a "hands-on" exhibition for children, this time it's about Genetics, Evolution and Biology. There's a web site at www.lifeinteractiveworld.co.uk Apart from the many exhibits inside, the building itself looks like a nice addition to the centre of Newcastle, near the Railway Station. Bright, colourful, in a square of new buildings, Times Square. There's some sculpture outside based on the double-helix shape of DNA.
