December 2002 Update

The Editors

The Holmston 175th Anniversary web pages were edited by two parents - Alan Scott (production editor) and Tommy Fitzsimmons (content editor and organiser of the after-school Web Club), working for the 2000/175 Committee of parents, staff and former pupils chaired by Ian Queen.

Alan's continuing to edit the less frequent issues after the end of the Anniversary year, with contributions from the Head Teacher, Tom Burnett, and other staff and former pupils.

Photos - left - Alan Scott is a computer analyst / programmer, formerly a college lecturer in Computing and Multimedia, now working in Prestwick. He's lived in Ayrshire on and off for over 20 years, and may have been one of the first people to use the Internet for business in Ayrshire, back in the 1980s.

Right - Tommy Fitzsimmons is a retired manager from a retail electronics company, and a former Chair of Holmston Primary School Board. Tommy's supported the school in a number of roles, including organising the Swimming Team for annual Galas, and the after-school Web Club of pupils in our anniversary year, 1999-2000. He continues to serve as a coopted member of the School Board.
