Primary 5's Computer Club
Holmston Primary School Computer Club was started on Wednesday 22nd January 2003.
The pupils in Primary 5 were asked if they would like to come every Wednesday after
school from 3pm - 4pm.
The children are gaining experience in using computers and are being introduced
to the internet. Here are some of the children's comments:
"We looked at our school website which was actually
very good. I would like to be able to put something
on our website but I don't know how to yet."
"At Primary 5 Computer Club we learn how to
use computers. We hold our meetings in our
lovely I.C.T. room. Today we are going to
make posters to advertise the P.T.A. disco
on 20th February."
"In our first week we learned how to use Word Art and we looked at the
Holmston website which was really good."
"We have been using web sites about all sorts of things - it was great fun.
I liked the one about alien explorers best but the one about minefields was good too.
You had to answer a question if you landed on a mine."
Glad to hear everyone's enjoying the computer club, hope they'll be able to put something
on our website soon at www.holmston.com! Hand it in to Mrs Banks or even e-mail it to the editor at
