Jubilee Medal For Holmston

Jamie, Naomi, the Provost, with Jubilee Medal

At the end of last year, Provost Liz Foulkes, of South Ayrshire Council, visited all 55 schools in South Ayrshire, to present each with a medal specially struck by the Royal Mint to commemorate the Queen's Golden Jubilee in 2002.

The Provost was quoted in the "Ayrshire Post" - "A Golden Jubilee is a very special event, and the medals are great mementoes for the schools.

"All the children have been very excited about their schools receiving medals."

At Holmston, Jamie and Naomi (P6 and P7) received the medal on behalf of the school, and their photo with the Provost appeared in the "Ayrshire Post". (This electronic photo was blurred for privacy).
