Holmston Tartan

Another view of the Holmston Tartan

Yes, folks, here it is again, custom woven by Strathmore Woollens of Forfar.

Traditional but different, warmer and much smarter in the cloth than it looks here on the screen from our old computers.

The colours are taken from the coat of arms in the full-colour school badge. They include a dark green background, the gold of the blazing star, the blue and white of the sea, and there's a thin stripe of red from behind the towers of Ayr.

Manufacturer's label for this Custom Weave The design is based on 6 winning entries from a pupils' competition. It's registered for use by the school in future years.

The manufacturers can convert the material into scarves, ties, junior kilts, gents kilts, ladies kilted skirts, gents and ladies trousers, waistcoats and tammies.
