From 1953-4?..

From Moira Finlayson, now Clark, this is a photo of one of her classes, Mrs McCallum's class. Moira was at Holmston from 1950-54, when she left (in P5?) to move house to Carnoustie. Moira's provided a full list of names, below.

Thanks, Moira, for re-sending this after we lost the first copy!

Moira Finlayson's Class
Moira writes, "The date of the picture must have been about 1953/54 as I left for Carnoustie in Mrs McCallum's class. She even paid me a visit in Carnoustie with her daughter.

"I still have my report card and it began in P3 with Miss Carnegie and P4 with Miss Smith. I have a list of names for the class but they are not in the order of the photo".

Moira's list of classmates -

"Isobel Brunton (I am still friendly with her), Lynn French, Margaret Mackie,
Dorothy Morton, Freddy Price, Kennedy Forsyth,
Pauline Bisset, Jim Neil, Elsie Anderson,

"Pat Martin, Brian Hendry, Margaret Kelly,
Russel Johstone, Ian Brodie, Carole Robertson,
Jeanette Docherty, Melvin Strachan, Rita Allison,

"Catherine Reid, Allan Logan, Yvonne Hamilton,
Veronica ?, David Brown, Frances Mathews,
Allison Duncan, Anne Hutchison, Margaret McCreath,

"Joan Jackson, Willie Hamilton, Jim Baillie,
Charles Frazer, Malcolm Bell, Betty Reid,
Frances Osborne, Rowland Giddings, Eleanor Johnstone,

"Maureen Forsyth, Elizabeth Whiteford".

Moira still has letters from everyone in her class. "When I left, Mrs McCallum made the class all write me a letter for a composition, so I still have them all. She even corrected them!"
